Brunoe was a Danish marine painter and the official artist for the Royal Danish navy. Well known for his impressionistic seascapes and the ships of the Danish navy. This lively picture of a Dido class anti-aircraft cruiser shows her very fine attractive lines as she manoeuvres hard and at speed to avoid falling bombs in the Second World War.
