HMS HOWE by Oscar Parkes. Not the most beautiful but she was a well armoured battleship
HOWE was one of the Class of Five (King George V) and saw hard war service. Her sister PRINCE OF WALES was sunk by the Japanese in December 1941. HOWE was broken up in 1958. Oscar Parkes was the Editor of Jane’s Fighting Ships and many other naval books of reference as well as being a very well respected martime artist.
