Town class light cruiser and the last coal burning ship in the British Commonwealth.  Commissioned into the RAN in 1916 and served until 1935.   In 1925, as part of an exchange, she served with the Royal Navy’s China Squadron and became the first RAN ship to visit Japan.

Brunoe was a Danish marine painter and the official artist for the Royal Danish Navy. Well known for his impressionistic seascapes and the ships of the Danish navy.
